We are pleased to inform you that the first phase of unblocking the sewer line is now complete. Crucially, the overflow has been contained, and sewage is no longer flowing into the community.

To achieve this, the local abattoir supported our efforts by assisting with a blasting machine from Van Zyl’s Blasting and we have also received assistance from Mr. Johan Karsten. While clearing the line, we discovered a significant amount of foreign objects causing the obstruction.

We have scheduled Phase 2 to begin on Monday, which will focus on fully restoring the line’s capacity and clearing out any remaining debris.
